The Ramparts of Ice vede una ragazza molto introversa scoprire nuovi sentimenti grazie ad un compagno di scuola molto popolare.

Koyuki Hikawa all'apparenza è una ragazza fredda e distante, tanto che sono in tanti a chiamarla "la Regina". L'unica persona che le è vicina è l'amica di infanzia Miki Azumi. Ma le certezze di Koyuki determinata a percorrere gli anni del liceo senza stringere rapporti con nessuno verranno meno a causa di Minato Amamiya. Anche Minato è al primo anno di superiori come Koyuki, ma la sua personalità è esuberante anche se finisce sempre per essere lasciato dalle ragazze. Da notare che la serie anime è l'adattamento del fortunato manga omonimo firmato da Kocha Agasawa.
