I Love LA e la nuova serie creata, scritta e interpretata da Rachel Sennott.

Attrice e comica statunitense di origini italiane e irlandesi, Sennott ha attirato l’attenzione della critica per il suo ruolo in Shiva Baby (2020), commedia scritta e diretta da Emma Seligman al suo debutto alla regia, e più recentemente con Bottoms (2023), commedia satirica per adolescenti e secondo lungometraggio di Seligman, di cui Sennott è anche cosceneggiatrice e che le è valsa una candidatura al premio per la miglior sceneggiatura ai Film Independent Spirit Awards 2024.

La serie parla di “un gruppo di amici ambiziosi alle prese con la vita e l’amore a Los Angeles”. Sennott interpreta Maia, bloccata in un lavoro d’ufficio senza prospettive, per il quale è in corsa per una promozione che però va a monte. Il suo gruppo smodato di amici è interpretato da Jordan Firstman nel ruolo di Charlie, Josh Hutcherson in quello di Dylan, Odessa A’zion – con un ruolo di rilievo nel prossimo film di Josh Safdie, Marty Supreme – nei panni di Tallulah e True Whitaker in quelli di Alani. Insieme, il gruppo cerca di districarsi tra problemi personali e professionali.
