About

Gatekeeper is a fast-paced sci-fi roguelite built around risky builds, relentless combat, and addictive progression — think Risk of Rain 2 meets Gunfire Reborn. The Heart of Time has been stolen by Chaos's most powerful minions. You must track it across five hostile planets, cut through elite Sirens and their endless legions, and reach the Throne Room for a final confrontation with Chaos itself.

Each run is a twin-stick shooter experience where the real depth comes from stacking artifacts and Triads — combining 100+ power-ups into synergies that snowball your build into something absurd. Level up to choose Evolutions, hit the Emporium to grab artifacts, and watch your Gatekeeper transform from a scrappy fighter into an unstoppable force. The game rewards skill and reflexes — builds won't carry you if you can't dodge — but a well-constructed Triad synergy can make even the hardest encounters manageable.

The Crustad DLC pushes the endgame further with a brutal new empire planet, 7 new enemies, 4 new locations, a new final boss (Lord Crustad), an alternate ending through the Mutated Heart, and a new playable hero Maverick. The free Core Aspect update shipped alongside it, overhauling the artifact ban system with 40 ban slots across 5 categories, adding the new Aspect modifier system, Soul Engine missions, and the optional Altar of Interception activity.
