Gabriele, ex rocker e ora negoziante di strumenti musicali, divorziato, è un papà premuroso e concentrato esclusivamente su Sofia, la figlia di 10 anni. Quando gli amici gli presentano delle possibili nuove compagne lui parla della figlia, azzerando ogni chance. Un giorno però nella sua vita ricompare Mara, che non vede da 10 anni e che è diventata un'importante fotografa. Lui se ne innamora ma c'è un grosso ostacolo da superare: lei non vuol sentire neanche parlare di bambini. Gabriele decide quindi di nasconderle la presenza di Sofia. L'impresa però non sarà per niente facile.
