Trama
Terminator 3 - Le macchine ribelli, il film diretto da Jonathan Mostow, vede John Connor (Nick Stahl), diventato un uomo. Sono, infatti, passati circa dieci anni da quando dodicenne, con l'aiuto di un Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), impedì una terribile guerra tra umani e macchine, e vive come un fantasma senza fissa dimora per non essere rintracciato da Skynet, il terribile sistema che tenta di distruggere l'umanità.
Non riuscendo a localizzare John, Skynet manda nel 2004 un altro Terminator il T-X (Kristanna Loken), questa nuova macchina, dall'aspetto femminile, è molto più avanzata di quelle inviate precedentemente, soprattutto ha la capacità di riprogrammare altre macchine ed è stato progettato per eliminare altri Terminator inviati dalla resistenza per proteggere John.
John viene sorpreso da Kate Brewster (Claire Danes) mentre ruba dei medicinali in una clinica veterinaria e i due vengono attaccati dal T-X che tenta di ucciderli entrambi ma i due riescono a fuggire con l'aiuto del Terminator, il quale gli svela che la sua missione è quella di scortarli in Messico per proteggerli dall’attacco nucleare che verrà sferrato da Skynet.
I tre vanno a cercare il padre di Kate, il generale Robert Brewster (David Andrews) che sta coordinando la costruzione di Skynet, per cercare di bloccarne l'attivazione ma purtroppo vengono intercettati dal T-X che dopo aver danneggiato il Terminator lo riprogramma per uccidere Kate e John.
John e Kate scappano verso Crystal Peak dove dovrebbero avere delle risposte riguardo a Skynet, ma John prima di fuggire cerca di interrompere la riprogrammazione del Terminator 101.
Arrivati in quello che scoprono essere un rifugio antiatomico vengono seguiti dai due Terminator che lottano per portare a termine ognuno la propria missione.
Ai nostri due eroi non rimane che aspettare il loro destino...
