I Blondie sono forse la quintessenza della new wave band: un gruppo art-pop che ha fatto il salto dal punk alla Top 40, affinando le proprie curve spigolose e ampliando al contempo il proprio raggio d'azione musicale oltre il trash pop AM per abbracciare disco, reggae e hip-hop. Hanno portato le sonorità underground nel mainstream con un'occhiata furba e consapevole e l'incandescente potere di Debbie Harry, la cantante solista che ha co-guidato il gruppo con il chitarrista Chris Stein.
