Sebbene la popolarità di Debbie Harry fosse diminuita alla fine degli anni '80, il 1989 non fu affatto un brutto anno per lei. Quell'anno, l'ex cantante dei Blondie interpretò con successo una cantante in difficoltà nel brillante ma sottovalutato poliziesco della CBS Wiseguy, e dimostrò di potersi ancora divertire parecchio in studio. Sotto la direzione del produttore di successo Mike Chapman, che aveva lavorato con i Blondie e con tutti, da Sweet a Scandal, Harry realizza un CD eclettico che non è alla pari con un gioiello dei Blondie come Parallel Lines, ma che ha comunque molto da offrire. Gran parte di questo pop/rock new wave e di musica dance di sapore europeo è sincera, intelligente e davvero memorabile. Tutto, dall'affascinante "Brite Side" (che cantò in Wiseguy) all'avvincente "Bike Boy" fino all'inquietante "He Is So", rende chiaro che Harry, a 43 anni, era tutt'altro che una fallita.
