Per anni la cantante e pianista Diana Krall ha portato nuova linfa vitale al jazz attraverso il suo duplice talento da urlo. E mentre le sue registrazioni successive rivelano un'artista in costante maturazione, questo album di debutto del 1993 dimostra che la nativa di Nanaimo, nella Columbia Britannica, aveva le carte in regola fin dall'inizio. A metà dei suoi 20 anni, Krall canta con onestà, finezza e persuasione mentre suona il pianoforte con autorità da far tremare la testa, sia come accompagnatrice (offre incredibili digressioni tra le frasi vocali) sia come improvvisatrice assolutamente di prima categoria.TRACK LIST
