Prologo: un misterioso patto tra un generale delle SS e due suoi ufficiali nella Berlino prossima a cadere del 1945. 1985: un architetto tedesco riceve in Svizzera un'eredità di quattro miliardi e mezzo di dollari. Ma c'è una clausola e tanta gente in agguato. Tratto dal romanzone-minestrone di Robert Ludlum Il patto, questo film d'azione e di avventure gli assomiglia: troppi ingredienti in una sceneggiatura ridondante e pasticciata. Ultimo film per la brava L. Palmer (1914-86).
